About Camp Rory
Camp Rory offers a “Brownie” residential side and a “Guide” camping side. There are lots of trees at Camp Rory and each side is very private. We are completely in the woods with lots of room for exploring and there are many hiking trails in and around the camp. We also have a small creek that flows through “Guide” side that runs in the Spring.
The “Guide” side offers six gravel tent pads – there is room for more tents in the “Guide” side field. There is a two seater outhouse, picnic tables, an open pavilion, water is available at numerous water taps throughout the camping side, power and lighting, a campfire circle, gray water pits and a wood shed usually well stocked.
The “Brownie” side offers a large kitchen/dining room equipped with cooking equipment and dining utensils. There are two fridges and two stoves, a deep freezer, a microwave, lots of tables and benches, sinks for both the kitchen and dining room side and a large craft corner area. There are four usable “Brownie” cabins that sleep 8 each – 4 bunk beds. Campers need their own foamy. There are also two more cabins for the leaders – one sleeps two the other sleeps 4+. There is no power in the “Brownie” cabins but the leaders cabins have power. There is a large campfire circle and a flag pole. Also available is Camp Rory’s Brownie Toadstool that can be used outside for ceremonies. There is a large field on “Brownie” side as well and a 5 seater flushy building with sinks.
